The Guild Series is a successful medieval life, economy, fight and time management simulation. The player manages a family dynasty into centuries of prosperity. All this while facing rival families (either played by other players or AI), economic challenges, illness and pestilence, sabotage or even attacks. All with the ultimate goal of becoming monarch of the country.
As Senior Designer I was in charge of implementing well-known and loved features, evaluating and improving them as well as testing and balancing. Iterations, balancing and improvement of vast Ai systems for economy and rival family behaviour. Writing texts, storylines and instructions as well as maintaining them. Scripting, iterating and balancing good, items and actions of in-game characters Map maintenance and balancing.
In addition there was a constant communication with the very active fan community as well as expectation management and bug evaluation.
I was also part of a pitching team for new game ideas.
